Coxcomb is native to Africa, and is widespread across Mexico, South America, the West Indies and Asia. The dramatic flower gets its name from its bright color and shape that resembles the crest of a rooster. In Nigeria, it is known as “soko yokoto”, meaning “make my husband fat and happy”. Coxcomb symbolizes immortality, affection and most importantly humor. TAGS: Baby Bloomeradmin2020-11-13T09:59:57-08:00
